However, Tabatha’s Salon Takeover has been renamed to Tabatha Takes Over because she isn’t just revamping salons this time around. What kind of businesses will have owners handing their keys over to Tabatha? Read on for a scoop on the season and a few teasers about tonight’s premiere episode!

After three seasons of Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, it was obvious that Tabatha’s excellent management skills and business sense can easily translate to places outside of the beauty industry.

“It was such a natural progression, so many people said, ‘I wish you would come and take over and help us’ and we decided we would take over,” Tabatha Coffey told The Hollywood Reporter. “And I believe business principles are business principles, they follow through. And as a business owner, we all deal with the same set of problems in our business. So, it was a great transition to now move into other businesses not just hair dressing salons.”

For the talented hairstylist, the first three seasons weren’t just about helping others run their salons more efficiently.

“I like helping people,” she said. “It was exciting to be able to go in and challenge myself and also be able to help these other businesses. So, it was great.”

Though Tabatha will still take over a few hair salons throughout season four, Coffey will also take over a gay bar, a doggie daycare, a bed and breakfast, a frozen yogurt store and an entire beauty school. ”It’s Tabatha on steroids,” she said of the entire season.

Tonight, Tabatha takes over a hair salon called Jungle Red, whose owner has actually moved into the salon and passed all business authority on to her uninspired daughter.

“It was really the story, the story between mother and daughter,” Coffey reflected on the season’s first episode. “And, also, the fact that Suzanne put everything she had into the salon. And that’s why she was also staying there, which is the part that was really big for me.”

Tabatha Coffey: 'Don't Compare Yourself to Others' (august 22, 2014) "2/2 Parte"

What could you do better for yourself?

I could definitely work out more and also learn to disconnect and unplug! I think a lot of us feel the need to always be connected and finding time to relax and sometimes play is something that I think we all need to make more time for, especially me. Oh, and I really need to drink more water.

How do you sustain a positive mental outlook, especially when you have bad news to deliver?

Delivering bad news is never easy. If I have to deliver bad news, I need to be strong for the other person and remain calm so that I can give them the support they need.

What one health condition would you most like to eradicate for everyone and why? I’m guessing it might be childhood cancer, since you do good work for that, Tabatha. While I have you, tell us about that, too.

For sure, cancer is a health condition I would love to eradicate. I have seen too many people affected by it and lost people I love to this horrible disease. I am passionate about helping anyone with cancer. It is hard enough to fight it and go through treatment and then you have to deal with the hair loss and how that affects your self-esteem. It is so extremely hard, especially for kids, when they sometimes want to just go back to school, fit in, and look “normal.” Childhood cancer numbers are on the rise and I have been honored to work with a couple of charities that help with research on finding a way to eradicate it.

What do you think slows the aging process?

Attitude. We have all met people that act “old” or think a number makes them old, and I truly don’t believe that is the case. If you have a good attitude toward aging, and you do what you can to live healthy and take care of yourself, I don’t think the number matters.

Do you think Aussies view health differently than we Americans do?

I don’t. I think we are very similar in the way we view a healthy lifestyle.

How does your career in beauty influence your health?

I believe a big part of being healthy is feeling good about yourself.  It’s learning to accept yourself and make the most of what you have. Being in the beauty industry has taught me that most of us are never satisfied with how we look. We all “wish we had better hair, could lose that last 10 pounds, or look like someone else.” I always see the beauty in the clients that have sat in my chair and I’ve tried to help them see it, too, and feel good about themselves. This has taught me be kinder to myself and to others. We can stop comparing ourselves to other people.

Anyone whose health and lifestyle habits you admire?

I admire anyone that makes a commitment to taking care of themselves.

How can we make our hair healthier? Supplements? Products?

A healthy diet will absolutely help keep hair healthy. It is also really important to protect your hair from the environment, so using the right products is important as well as not overdoing the chemical processes.

¿Cómo podemos hacer nuestro cabello más saludable? Suplementos? Productos?

Wearing her author hat, she’s written OWN IT! Be the Boss of Your Life—at Home and in the Workplace, and her memoir, It’s Not Really about the Hair: The Honest Truth about Life, Love, and the Business of Beauty. She also helps create the incredible hairstyles featured in advertising and trend collection imagery. Given her ability to take care of business, I had to know how she takes care of herself.

Tabatha, how do you Mind Your Body with what you eat?

I am gluten free, dairy free and sugar free, although I do slip up on the sugar sometimes because I have a big sweet tooth!  I love to cook and it is much easier to eat well at home than when I am on the road. I am a big juicer and thankfully, with all the travel I do, I can usually find fresh organic juice to keep me going.

What’s your physical activity regimen?

I wish I did more physical activity. Again, it can be difficult with my schedule. I love yoga—it really helps me feel great both mentally and physically.

How to Get a Great Haircutâ ”Tabatha Tells All (Jan 26, 2011)

Bravo reality star Tabatha Coffey had what you might call an unconventional childhood. In her new book, It's Not Really About the Hair, she describes spending time in the strip clubs her parents owned in Australia. She grew up watching the women-and a fair number of transsexual men-put on the wigs, sequins, and makeup they wore on stage.

"That experience helped fuel my conviction that you must always be true to yourself," she says. "It also got the passion for hair and glamour going. They were good lessons." Coffey went on to work as a hair stylist in Australia, England, and the United States, to compete on Bravo's first season of Shear Genius, and to star in her own show, Tabatha's Salon Takeover. She's seen the best and the worst stylists at work, so we asked for her advice on how to avoid a bad salon experience.

Give it a once over. A salon should be clean when you first walk in. "There shouldn't be hair balls on the floor and shampoo bottles covered in dust," says Coffey. "That tells me they don't care about their environment." And everyone should be working, even if the salon isn't busy. "There is always something to do," she says. "People shouldn't be sitting around checking their phones. That's a sign something isn't right."

Make sure they listen. "The consultation is the most important part of a haircut," says Coffey. "I don't care if I've cut your hair 100 times, I'm still going to talk to you, touch your hair, find out what you want." If you sense your stylist isn't listening-he doesn't ask follow-up questions, for instance, or his attention has clearly wondered to another client-politely repeat yourself until you're sure he's heard you.

Take a break. "A salon should have a social atmosphere," says Coffey. "But in a well-run place, the stylists and assistants shouldn't be talking about what they did last night or how much they drank. They should be talking to you." And if you don't want to chat? "It's absolutely fine to say 'I've had a long day and this is my downtime' or 'I have to catch up on some work.'"

Know yourself. Do you know you don't like it when your hair is cut with a razor or texturizing shears? Then stand your ground when a stylist claims he's an absolute expert in the technique and you won't believe how amazing you'll look. "If someone wants to use a technique on your hair that hasn't worked for you in the past, you need to tell them that," says Coffey. "That's not rude."

Conócete a ti mismo.

Make them fix it. It's not a fluke when you leave a salon happy: you've just had a professional blow-out, and unless the cut is a disaster, you probably look great. But what about the next day, or a few days later, when you realize the cut isn't right? "Calling within the week to say a cut isn't working is totally acceptable," says Coffey. Your stylist should invite you in to fix it-for free. "Just make sure you aren't having a bad reaction to something new. Sometimes it can take a few days to get used to a new style."
