Tabatha's Salon Takeover T3 "Mia Bella"

When I sat down and showed Cindy and Marjorie the undercover footage, I felt for Cindy. She truly was stressed about her business and her sisters, because she had a strong sense of family obligation from her upbringing. Marjorie was the "good sister" and peacemaker -- basically she had no balls! Cindy felt overwhelmed and that she had no support, and in many ways she didn't. Marjorie swayed whatever way the wind blew. And to make matters worse, her two younger sisters, Janet and Karen, had no respect for Cindy or the salon and all the other staff followed suit.

The Phun sisters were bringing the family drama into the salon, and it was ruining their business. The staff had a "Who cares?" attitude because they felt that Janet and Karen got away with anything they wanted. And the staff felt they were not respected by Cindy; she spoke down to them and didn't give constructive feedback or education, just orders. There was no education, no rules, and no pride. When I walked into Mia Bella salon, I literally wanted to walk out. It was FILTHY!

Las hermanas Phun estaban trayendo el drama de la familia en el salón, y se estaba arruinando sus negocios. El personal tenía una "A quién le importa?" actitud porque sentían que Janet y Karen salió con todo lo que quisieran. Y el personal consideró que no fueron respetados por Cindy, ella hablaba a ellos y no dar retroalimentación constructiva o la educación, a las órdenes. No había ninguna educación, no hay reglas, y el orgullo no. Cuando entré en Mia Bella salón, literalmente quise salir. Estaba sucio!

As soon as I figured out the problems, it was time to put the staff to work, including Femi (even if it was her birthday!) and get the salon clean before my models and special guests arrived. Mia Bella was a struggling family business, so I asked my Friend Anthony Mascolo and his brother Bruno, two of the founding brothers of the very successful Toni and Guy hair care company, to come and give Cindy and Marjorie advice. I hoped it would help the girls understand that business is business, and that there had to be rules, boundaries, and expectations even when family is involved.

Tan pronto como me di cuenta de los problemas, ya era hora de poner el personal al trabajo, Femi (incluso si era su cumpleaños!) Y obtener el salón limpio antes de mis modelos e invitados especiales llegaron. Mia Bella era un negocio de familia que lucha, así que le pedí a mi amigo Anthony Mascolo y su hermano Bruno, dos de los hermanos fundadores de la exitosa compañía de Toni y Chico cuidado del cabello, para venir y dar Cindy y asesoramiento Marjorie. I still wasn't sure the girls understood that they needed to leave their family drama at home and not bring it into work. So I decided  that a surprise visit to the girls' house would help me get to the bottom of the family dynamic. I'm not sure who was more shocked: the Phun  sisters at my impromptu sleepover or me by what I found in their house! It became very clear that the dirt and chaos in the salon also carried into the house, and Cindy truly was overwhelmed and out of control. The basement was a mess. I have never seen so much stuff and some of it had never even been used. I was gobsmacked.

Todavía no estaba segura de las chicas hubieran entendido que tenían que salir de su drama familiar en casa y no lo pongo en el trabajo. Así que decidí que una visita sorpresa a la casa de las chicas me ayudara a llegar al fondo de la dinámica familiar. No estoy seguro de que estaba más sorprendido: las hermanas Phun en mi fiesta de pijamas improvisadas o yo por lo que encontré en su casa! Se hizo muy claro que la suciedad y el caos en el salón también se lleva a la casa, y Cindy fue verdaderamente abrumado y fuera de control. El sótano era un desastre. Nunca he visto tantas cosas y algunas de ellas nunca habían sido utilizados incluso. Me quedé atónita.

It was a long night! Trying to get through to each of the sisters as we hung out, ate dinner, and even changed into our PJs was a challenge. But I felt like spending the night with the sisters helped me get through to them, and they realized that they needed to start taking responsibility for themselves and their business. Karen and Janet finally realized that they needed to grow up and stop expecting Cindy to be the mother hen. And Cindy realized that she needed to take a different approach in how she spoke to her sisters and staff. The next job to tackle was getting them to work together and and to get control of their lives, so I made them clean out that damn basement!

Fue una noche larga! Tratando de conseguir a través de cada una de las hermanas que nos colgaras fuera, cenamos, e incluso se transformó en nuestros pijamas fue un reto. Pero me sentía como pasar la noche con las hermanas me ayudaron a conseguir a través de ellos, y se dieron cuenta de que tenían que empezar a tomar responsabilidad por ellos mismos y sus negocios. Karen y Janet finalmente se dio cuenta de que necesitaba crecer y dejar de esperar Cindy a ser la mamá gallina. Y Cindy se dio cuenta de que tenía que tomar un enfoque diferente en la forma en que habló con sus hermanas y el personal. El siguiente trabajo para hacer frente a ellos estaba poniendo a trabajar juntos ya y para obtener el control de sus vidas, así que les hice limpiar ese sótano maldito!

I really saw a huge change in the sisters and I wanted to give Cindy, Marjorie, and the whole team the salon of their dreams. The makeover was amazing and everyone was really inspired on reopening day. All the staff really stepped up and did great work except for Melissa. She truly struggled with her work and needed a lot more education to be behind the chair. I was truly proud of them all especially, Karen and Janet, who really grew up in the week I was there.

I was so happy to go back and revisit my honorary sisters and see how they were doing. They have truly changed and embraced the recommendations I made and are doing a wonderful job in the salon. I know they will be a big success.

Me vio un gran cambio en las hermanas y quería dar Cindy, Marjorie, y todo el equipo del salón de sus sueños. El cambio de imagen era increíble y todo el mundo estaba muy inspirado en el día de reapertura. Todo el personal realmente se adelantó y lo hizo un gran trabajo con excepción de Melissa. Ella realmente tuvo problemas con su trabajo y necesitaba educación mucho más que estar detrás de la silla. Estaba realmente orgulloso de todos ellos especialmente, Karen y Janet, que en realidad se crió en la semana que estuve allí.

Yo estaba tan feliz de volver y volver a mis hermanas honorarios y ver cómo se estaban haciendo. Ellos realmente han cambiado y aceptado las recomendaciones que he hecho y están haciendo un trabajo maravilloso en el salón. Sé que será un gran éxito.

Some of the things that puzzled me was the chaos Puhm sisters both in their business at home. I know that to work with the family is complicated, but wow .... reach that is very heavy

One of the most memorable of this chapter is to see Tabatha in pink pajamas, okay I admit that I was surprised not that I imagine, that Tabatha sleeps in black pijama  but never would have bet on the pink
