Tabatha Takes Over Premieres Tonight On Bravo & Goes Beyond Salons (January 10, 2012)

Tabatha Coffey is back on Bravo tonight with the premiere of her reality show’s fourth season. However, Tabatha’s Salon Takeover has been renamed to Tabatha Takes Over because she isn’t just revamping salons this time around. What kind of businesses will have owners handing their keys over to Tabatha? Read on for a scoop on the season and a few teasers about tonight’s premiere episode!

After three seasons of Tabatha’s Salon Takeover, it was obvious that Tabatha’s excellent management skills and business sense can easily translate to places outside of the beauty industry.

“It was such a natural progression, so many people said, ‘I wish you would come and take over and help us’ and we decided we would take over,” Tabatha Coffey told The Hollywood Reporter. “And I believe business principles are business principles, they follow through. And as a business owner, we all deal with the same set of problems in our business. So, it was a great transition to now move into other businesses not just hair dressing salons.”

For the talented hairstylist, the first three seasons weren’t just about helping others run their salons more efficiently.

“I like helping people,” she said. “It was exciting to be able to go in and challenge myself and also be able to help these other businesses. So, it was great.”

Though Tabatha will still take over a few hair salons throughout season four, Coffey will also take over a gay bar, a doggie daycare, a bed and breakfast, a frozen yogurt store and an entire beauty school. ”It’s Tabatha on steroids,” she said of the entire season.

Tonight, Tabatha takes over a hair salon called Jungle Red, whose owner has actually moved into the salon and passed all business authority on to her uninspired daughter.

“It was really the story, the story between mother and daughter,” Coffey reflected on the season’s first episode. “And, also, the fact that Suzanne put everything she had into the salon. And that’s why she was also staying there, which is the part that was really big for me.”
