Hair extensions done the right way can look completely natural and beautiful, but that's not what I'm talking about here. I'm referring to the ridiculously long, obviously fake "Barbie hair" extensions every Paris Hilton wannabe wore in the mid-2000s. Some were so atrocious you could even see where they joined in. Thank goodness for better technology, hair, and techniques to give us the locks we desire.

Though never truly a trend, I think the comb-over warrants a mention on every list of hair don'ts. That saying about "faking it 'til you make it" doesn't apply here: if you don't have hair, don't fake it. Just cut it all off and embrace what you have. No names mentioned.
