My Serum: K-Pak Color Therapy Restorative Styling Oil
Typically, oils and serums can be really heavy — especially on fine hair like mine — but K-Pak Color Therapy Restorative Styling Oil (available at Joico salons) never is. It gives incredible shine, and smooths away frizz and flyways without weighing hair down. It works as well on fine hair as it does the thickest, coarsest hair, which is why I love it.
For fine hair like mine, rub a teeny drop between your hands and smooth over dry hair from midshaft to ends. For hair that's thicker and coarser, apply one pump to damp hair (again from the midshaft to ends), blow hair dry, and then reapply as needed for additional gloss and control. The real key to using a serum or oil is to apply only from the midshaft down — never to the scalp — to prevent hair from looking dirty or greasy.

This is the perfect pick-me-up that everyone should have in their purse or at their desk, because it really does make hair respond like clean hair when you spray it at the roots. It's also great for clean, fine hair, just to give it a boost of body.
I especially love that the mist is superfine, lightweight, and doesn't leave any visible residue on the hair, which is great for people with dark hair or those who are heavy-handed. It can buy you an extra day or two forgoing the shampoo for all you busy women out there, and will leave hair fresh and odor-free.
When you apply, spray arms-length away, applying at the scalp area. Wait a minute, gently rub it into the scalp, and brush hair through. Dry shampoos have a matte finish, though, so if you want a little shine, also add a drop of my go-to serum. Voilà! Fresh, revived hair. (Available through Tigi salons.)

I love that you can spray it on when hair is finished, you can use it with Velcro rollers to give your hair body, and that you can layer it throughout the day without hair getting heavy or tacky. It's virtually impossible to overuse, and always brushes out easily.
